Donations to food shelves on the way

Local food shelves are about to get some assistance from the Rutland Area Farm and Food Link. The group will be donating produce from local farmers markets to help make up for reduced donations caused by the recession. Food from the farmers’ markets will be delivered to five agencies in Rutland and two in the Poultney/Castleton area. The organization needs volunteer drivers and will accept direct donations.
